GR Pottery Forms WA and WA Board

The WA is a GR Pottery Forms Bat system to turn a slab into a plate. The WA helps to cut an even lip and cut a foot ring to thrown a foot in one seating. The standard round GR Pottery Forms now come with a drill hole to fit onto this Bat system. The center hole allows the maker to push the spacer up from the bottom to lift form slab from the WA surface helping to eliminate finger marks.

15″ outer diameter with 10″ diameter to center of drill holes for batt pins. This fits all the standard US wheel heads. The WA Board is designed for use with slabs. Using it as a traditional potters wheel bat may cause damage to it.

The forms are made from fiber board. This is a type of wood that makes them last for thousands of uses, but make sure you let them dry in between each use.

The timing of making them and removing the slab from the form is very similar to plaster.  If left on too long your clay will crack,  and the wood will mold or start to get soft.  Mold can easily be washed off with dish soap and if edges get rough you can use sand paper to smooth them.

The cut and beveled fiberboard makes them durable and economical.  Easy to use over and over again, giving you a tool to create your personalized shallow objects.  The forms are designed to be shallow so they are more versatile.
